Terms, privacy and AI disclosure

Draft for review by counsel before launch. Plain-language summary of how Masterdoodle works and what you agree to when you submit a sketch.

How the artwork is made

Masterdoodle produces AI-assisted artwork. Each version is generated from style instructions written and maintained by Jason Johns, using third-party AI image models, and every set is reviewed and approved by a person before it is sent to you. Artwork is not hand-drawn or hand-painted. Where Masterdoodle products are listed on marketplaces such as Etsy, this disclosure is repeated in the listing description as those platforms require.

Two modes, one age rule

Kids & Family mode is designed for parents ordering keepsakes of their children's drawings. Studio mode is intended for ages 13 and up. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian submit the sketch, approve the design and place the order. In both modes we do not produce sexually explicit, hateful or violent-extremist artwork, or artwork depicting copyrighted characters or logos; anime and manga directions are kept stylish, not explicit. We may decline any submission at no charge.

Your drawing and your rights

The 24-hour promise

Your three versions will be ready within 24 hours of submission. The exact deadline is shown on your order page. If we miss it, the $4.99 design fee is waived; you pay only for products you choose to order. When the studio is paused, the site displays a notice and your 24-hour period begins when the studio reopens.

Fees and payment

The design & refinement fee is $4.99 per sketch and covers three finished versions, one revision round and personal finishing. A digital-only order is the $4.99 fee plus $0.99 for the 300 DPI file, $5.98 in total. Printed items are priced individually and include the high-resolution file; shipping is shown per item before you approve. Reorders of an approved design never pay the design fee again.

At submission we store your card securely with Square. Nothing is charged until you approve a version and choose your products. If you request a revision, your card remains uncharged. If you approve nothing, the job is closed and no charge is made. By saving a card you authorize a single charge in the amount shown on the approval screen, initiated when you click approve.

Printing, shipping and reprints

Products are printed on demand by our fulfillment partner and shipped from the United States. Because every item is made to order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind, but misprinted or damaged items are reprinted free. Delivery estimates are shown at checkout.
